- All fishMust maintain a flat wake, speed not exceeding 5 nautical miles per hour. Refer to NRS 488.600(3).
- All fishVessels prohibited at: the main beaches at Sand Harbor and Divers' Cove within Lake Tahoe State Park; the swimming area of the Incline Village General Improvement District and Burnt Cedar Beach; the swimming area of Galilee at the Episcopal Camp and Conference Center; the swimming area of the Lakeridge General Improvement District; the swimming area of the Glenbrook Homeowner's Association; the swimming area of the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe; the swimming area of the Zephyr Cove Marina; the swimming area of Crystal Shores West; and the swimming and beach area adjacent to Nevada Beach described in 33CFR 162.215. Refer to NAC 488.465.
- All fishBait Chumming is prohibited in Lake Tahoe, Topaz Lake, Spooner Lake and the entire Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge."Chumming" means placing fish, parts of fish or other material upon which fish feed, in the water for the purpose of attracting fish to a particular area so that they may be taken. Refer to NRS 501.013.
- All fishPersons under 16 years of age are not required to have a fishing license. Persons 16 years of age or older must have either a Nevada fishing license or a Nevada Interstate Boundary Waters license; a Nevada short-term fishing permit or a California fishing license.
- game fishYear round; 1 hour before sunrise to 2 hours after sunset. Closed areas: within a 200 yard radius of the mouths of Third, Incline and Wood Creeks; 500 yard radius from Sand Harbor Boat Ramp; and within the boat launch area inside the jetty at Cave Rock Boat Ramp. (dates as written)Daily limit 5 game fish.
- All fishNew in 2026: The 2025 Legislature passed a new law requiring that vessels on Lake Tahoe must be operated at a speed that leaves a flat wake when within 600 feet of the shoreline. (Refer to NRS 488.600(3))
